Phobias are all very well and good but they get bandied about like they’re going out of fashion. Somebody with guts and determination needs to step up and reign those puppies in.

Phobias are about experiencing an irrational fear or hatred towards something so I would consider several of the more reputable phobias to be due for a change. Arachnophobia is the irrational fear of spiders but those things will kill you as soon as look at you so I would say that fear is pretty rational. A phobia would be a feeling of fear and/or hatred towards a delicious looking cupcake (with low calories).

Does getting scared during a horror movie count as short controlled phobia? We all know it’s just a movie and outside of shot there’s a craft services spread and a couple of gaffers so I suppose it must; at least more so than those rationally deadly snakes and spiders and wolves you’re trying to pass off as phobias.
