Sleeping Giants

We all have a bad habit of knowing what’s best for people way before they ever do. It’s a kind of precognition aimed towards being able to say, “I told you so.”

The trouble with this sort of precognition is that sometimes people need to work things out for themselves to benefit from the experience and cannot be pushed in the right direction. The other trouble of course is that most of the time we are completely wrong about what’s best for somebody else (if we all knew what was best I’m sure we’d be all doing much better out of it). I’ve had many pratfalls and tumbles so far and will continue having many more and I’ll learn more from them than I would if I had been pushed especially if you consider that being pushed into a pratfall or a tumble is assault.
