This phrase has always stuck with me. I suppose it’s because I’m so familiar with the feeling and it’s always nice to know that I’m not the only one who suffers from these lapses in conversational vitriol. Additionally, the fact that I am so ‘not the only one’ that the entire population of France is also subject to this experience fills my heart with blood.
